Some of my favorite songs

Some of my most favorite songs come from "Weird Al" Y. They include: "Frank's 2000" TV (and I'm not even sure if such a thing could exist)," "Achy Breaky Song," "Traffic Jam," "She Never Told Me She Was A Mime," "Mr. Popeil (a guy who used to do infomercials)," "Buy Me A Condo," "I Lost on Jeopardy," "That Boy Could Dance," "Theme from Rocky XIII (also known as "The Rye or the Kaiser")," "Addicted to Spuds (I think potato-lovers and people from Idaho would get a kick out of this song)," "Fat," "I Love Rocky Road (flavor of ice cream)," "The White Stuff (comes from Oreos; they are one of my most favorite cookie choices)," "Twister," "Harvey the Wonder Hamster," "White and Nerdy," "(This Song) Is Just 6 Words Long," and "Good Old Days." Also, there is a little rap of mine down below, and allow me to explain the nature of this rap. First of all, the first verse is pretty much explaining itself down below. Then, the second verse referred to how much I resented being a non-driving junior that had to take a zero-hour class in the morning and having to wait until all the freshmen and sophomores were done testing for the day on the ITED and WASL (required tests to graduate from high school, if I'm right). Also, the third verse refers to how I tragically forgot to pack a lunch for myself in a hurry to study for a chemistry test, and it was hard (not only the test was hard, but going without food was too). The fourth verse refers to how much I resent using the city bus. The fifth verse refers to how sad I felt that some of my friends have left on different paths than me. The sixth verse refers to how mad I was that summer ended and that college wouldn't start until a few more weeks, leaving me with decreased snack food choices, and finally, the seventh verse refers to how much I resent getting up early to go to geology.

Introduction: “Everyone has their down times in life, and I’m no exception. I greatly feel that these lyrics will give substantial reasons why that is.”

“After I completed middle school (da-nuh-da-nuh)
I thought I was done (da-nuh-da-nuh)
But when my parents said summer school
I knew my vacation would be no fun
I’ve got the blues, the burned by summer school, no summer time fun blues. (da- nuh-da-nuh)

“I thought I had a break this year (da-nuh-da-nuh)
Testing meant school’ld start 2 hours late (da-nuh-da-nuh)
But since I don’t drive yet
I was doomed to an empty-hall, wandering fate.
I’ve got the blues, the zero-hour stuck, burned by summer school blues. (da-nuh- da-nuh)

“Just last Wednesday morning (da-nuh-da-nuh)
I had a killer chemistry crunch (da-nuh-da-nuh)
But in all of my hurry to study
I forgot to pack me a lunch
I’ve got duh blues, the starving by noon, zero-hour zombie, no summertime fun for me blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

For every ride to college (da-nuh-da-nuh)
I have to ride the bus (da-nuh-da-nuh)
And I really think that because
I don’t drive, I should fuss
I’ve got the blues, the riding-the-bus, starving by noon, zero-hour zombie, no summertime for me blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

To make matters worse (da-nuh-da-nuh)
Many of my high school friends (da-nuh-da-nuh)
Have went different ways
So I hope that this all ends
I’ve got duh blues, the abandoned-by-friends, no-vehicle-driving, forgetting-my- lunch, zero-hour zombie, burned by summer school blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

I thought summer was great (da-nuh-da-nuh)
But then my sisters returned to school (da-nuh-da-nuh)
And then the snack food supply decreased
And it was starting not to be cool
I’ve got the blues, the left behind-by-friends, city-bus-riding, forgetting-my-lunch, zero-hour zombie, no summertime fun for me, nearing-getting-starved blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

To add to the chaos (da-nuh-da-nuh)
I have to take geology (da-nuh-da-nuh)
And I hate the fact that
I have to wake up so early
I’ve got the blues, the abandoned-by-friends, no-vehicle-driving, starving-by-noon, zero-hour zombie, burned by summer school, snack food decreased, waking-early-for-geology-blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

The End

When my Aunt Debra, Grandma T., Grandpa T., and cousins Phillip and Breya came some time ago, they just loved hearing the "rap" that I performed at Redfish Lake (it only had 5 verses at those times that I performed it) as well as me singing to the "Addicted to Spuds" song (so my cousin Jenny might get a kick out of this song).
