new blues

Lyrics by Neil S.

Introduction: “Everyone has their down times in life, and I’m no exception. I greatly feel that these lyrics will give substantial reasons of why that is the truth.”

“After I completed middle school (da-nuh-da-nuh)
I thought I was done (da-nuh-da-nuh)
But when my parents said summer school
I knew my vacation would be no fun
I’ve got the blues, the burned by summer school, no summertime fun blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

“I thought I had a break this year (da-nuh-da-nuh)
Testing meant school’ld start 2 hours late (da-nuh-da-nuh)
But since I don’t drive yet
I was doomed to an empty-hall, wandering fate.
I’ve got the blues, the zero-hour stuck, burned by summer school blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

Just last Wednesday morning (da-nuh-da-nuh)
I had a killer chemistry crunch (da-nuh-da-nuh)
But in all of my hurry to study
I forgot to pack me a lunch
I’ve got duh blues, the starving by noon, zero-hour zombie, no summertime fun for me blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

Some long time ago (da-nuh-da-nuh)
I took a hurtin’ fall (da-nuh-da-nuh)
And so I really missed
Some chances to play volleyball
I’ve got duh blues, the getting heavily-bruised, forgetting my lunch, zero-hour zombie, burned by summer school blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

Makin’ things much worse (da-nuh-da-nuh)
I got some bad seizures long ago (da-nuh-da-nuh)
And so my seizures
Are my very worst foe
I’ve got duh blues, the getting seizures, no-playing-volleyball, starving-by-noon, zero-hour zombie, no summertime fun for me blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

For every ride to college (da-nuh-da-nuh)
I have to ride the bus (da-nuh-da-nuh)
And I really think that because
I don’t drive, I should fuss
I’ve got duh blues, the riding-the-bus, getting seizures, getting badly bruised, forgetting my lunch, zero-hour zombie, burned by summer school blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

To make matters worse (da-nuh-da-nuh)
Many of my high school friends (da-nuh-da-nuh)
Have went different ways
So I hope that this all ends
I’ve got duh blues, the getting abandoned-by-friends, no-vehicle-driving, getting seizures, getting badly bruised, forgetting my lunch, zero-hour zombie, burned by summer school blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

I thought summer was great (da-nuh-da-nuh)
But then my sisters returned to school (da-nuh-da-nuh)
And then the snack food supply decreased
And it was starting not to be cool
I’ve got duh blues, the nearing-getting-starved, getting left behind by friends, no vehicle driving, getting seizures, no playing volleyball, starving by noon, zero-hour zombie, no summertime fun for me blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

To add to the chaos (da-nuh-da-nuh)
I have to take geology (da-nuh-da-nuh)
And I hate the fact that
I have to wake up so early
I’ve got duh blues, the waking-early-for geology, snack food decreased, abandoned by friends, city bus riding, getting seizures, getting badly bruised, forgetting my lunch, zero-hour zombie, burned by summer school blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

To escalate bad situations (da-nuh-da-nuh)
I failed the tests of rocks (da-nuh-da-nuh)
So, in geology I conclude
That I am dumber than a rock box
I’ve got duh blues, the failing rock tests, waking early for geology, nearing getting starved, left behind by friends, no vehicle driving, getting seizures, no volleyball playing, starving by noon, zero-hour zombie, no summertime fun for me blues. (da-nuh-da-nuh)

picture of a girl I like

Tuesday, December 05, 2006

This is Kit-Ka, our neighborhood cat. Sometimes, she visits our house. Along with my mother, I'm one of the most favorite people that Kit-Ka likes to be around.

loving parents that are grateful for me to exist

Whoa. This is pretty much like no other day I've went through. First off, it all started this morning when my mother wanted to see if I was going to pass any of my classes. Then, we had a bad argument with my parents that I didn't appreciate (about making a living off of doing a non-singing career). I was so mad that after I went to my home for a little bit, posted an angry note at the front door (to tell my parents where I would be), and took my Introduction to the Internet book with me to use it to study for my final that will be coming tomorrow. I did some studying in a building that I like to go to. At about 5:00 p.m., my father came to pick me up at the building. We had a conversation, and during it, he said that this will probably be my final term in the college (and it's really a big possibility, due to the increased difficulty of my classes, lack of friendly representation within the college, and possibly failing grades), and that I will be able to do something that will help me feel needed and wanted (and as far as I know, attending college is just not helping me do it). My mother was very worried. She was crying, and was very concerned (and she was definitely in the right mind to do it, because she is my mother after all, and women have a right to cry, don't they?). Both my mother and father told me that they love me, and that even though they may really blow it sometimes, and may have temper tantrums (or something of the sort), they love me, and nothing can ever change that.

whoa, this is the first time in a while when I actually get to post some words here...

Whoa. It's been quite a while since I've typed words on any post. Anyway, things aren't really looking up for me in college; especially in geology, where I'll probably flunk the whole course (there's absolutely no chance that I'll pass geology in any way, shape, or form). I did get a good presentation rating of my presentation of making a blog in my Introduction, however, so that's a good thing. Recently, I've discovered some more songs from "Weird Al" that I like. They are called "Genius In France," "Hardware Store," and "eBay (a parody of a song from Backstreet Boys that is titled "I Want It That Way")." I probably should have signed up for a different science course instead of Geology, like maybe Biology or Chemistry (okay, so maybe labs weren't easy, but at least I didn't have to do such stupid things like identifying rocks!). That "Genius In France" song kind of inspires me to maybe try learning some French (and maybe some other languages) phrases that correlate to English phrases (don't get me wrong; I like to speak English, but I'd also like to try to do something new that interests me). In geology, I'm dumber than the rocks themselves (of course, rocks don't have brains, and it's too bad they can't move, or talk, eat, or do any of the other things that humans can do), plus the subject of geology just doesn't interest me enough! Oh, by the way, I've just had my birthday a few days ago. It was great (except that I couldn't invite people over to my house for a party, just like I did for my 16th birthday). I did, however, get some benefits of the weekend. On Friday, I got to have food from Wendy's for lunch and I also got to have some of a large pepperoni Stuffed Crust pizza from Pizza Hut along with some breadsticks (whoa, that's so good)! On Saturday, my family and I went to Wendy's (my personal choice) for dinner. Then, on Sunday, I got to have my birthday celebrated by other people (of course, not all of the cake got eaten by the people I met on Sunday, but that was okay). It wasn't too bad of a day either, because I got to meet this sweet girl named Crystal G. People in geology would probably think that I'm not the brightest light bulb you can find and that I'm a fool (if I was a pizza, I'd be a few pepperonis short of one). Also, for birthday gifts, I got a Spongebob calendar, a new winter hat, along with a new portable CD player with headphones.
